Modern Street Play in Boerum Hill

267 Pacific in Boerum Hill is a seven-story building with 60 residential units. The building totals 68,000 SF with 3,000 SF designated for retail. The warehouse-modern style of the building is achieved utilizing brick with large windows and black mullions. The goal was to stay in context with the neighborhood while bringing in modern luxury. The project includes an extensive green roof and generous rear yard with green trellis.

Integral to the design was a connection to Brooklyn with a large scale mural depicting a boy climbing on top of the street sign at Pacific and Smith. The image is based on a photograph from “Street Play” series taken by Martha Cooper and is a collaboration of street artists and a local youth arts group.
