Land Apartment

The clients wanted the urban experience: the swanky cosmopolitan pied-a-terre with a vista to the breathtaking New York City skyline. They found this in Trump International Tower and gave GF55 complete control of the renovation and interior design. The result was a home with a contemporary spirit, continuity between spaces, and warm modern elegance through custom furniture pieces and exquisite finishes. A wall was removed to enlarge the small entry, creating an aesthetic addition by covering the shaft with metallic decorative paint. Limestone tiling was used on the floor interspersed with a linear, mosaic pattern. This same pattern can be seen on the walls of the kitchen establishing continuity. In the dining room, GF55 designed a curved glass display case to exhibit the clients’ museum quality sculptural pieces. With the view of the Manhattan skyline surrounding the living room, GF55 set the scene with cherry wood paneling and designed a custom sofa.
